I met and learned from lovely people all around yesterday at @cyclesandsex. With facilitator @bkmoxie, our panel conversed about our unique ways of showing up in the world that dismantle societal norms (@ihadamiscarriage about grief and life after loss, @wildflowersexabout sex and pleasure that considers inclusivity, @cassblissclemmer about life as a menstruating transboi, sex educator and activist, @wearkala about body positivity outside of racial and societal bias). I spoke to reserving judgment around differences, both seen and unseen, and the importance of living a life that feels like one’s own beyond what society dictates as success and happiness. I spent a good amount of time getting to know @cassblissclemmerand am in awe of this human’s spirit and willingness to keep sharing and advocating. After being shamed by the community and family that were previously a lifeline, Cass still continues to open up vulnerably and honestly on behalf of self and community. I am inspired to deepen my own dedication to the same.
