I have been thinking a lot about how often the very difference between a busy time and a super stressful time is the way I take care of myself. As I navigate an extremely exciting, but full on moment in life (end of school year, book editing, moving to LA (yay!), selling a home, work, motherhood, etc.), I remind myself daily that what makes or breaks these times is making time for wellness. For me, this means cooking good food, exercising, meditating, sleeping and laughing. Even though my inclination is often to skip some steps in favor of doing more on my to do list, that approach rarely works in the long run. So every day lately, I have been re-committing to wellness by asking, “What can I do today to be both productive AND well?” Who’s on board? I would love to know your favorite ways to sail through super busy times. Merci.
